Once Upon A Dream: "I reject your reality and substitute my own"

Last week my little family and I loaded up and ran away to the beach! My grandfather is "living" at my parents condo these days so we went and stayed with him. We had a great time hanging out with him and trying to keep up with him!

Here are some of my favorite pictures from our trip (and out of 1004 photos taken!):

We borrowed my parents bikes and I bought a bike seat for Aiden so we could ride around the island! Soooo much fun and a HUGE hit with Aiden!

Watching a plane take off next to the airport; Aiden has been very big into "transportation" lately. He is all things GO! Trains, cars, trucks, bicycles, airplanes, tractors, etc.

We rode down near the Village and made a stop at the Whales, where the Island has built a new playground right next to the sea!

Mommy went up to the top to help a slightly nervous Aiden with going down the big slide.

We also spent some time fishing under the bridge on the inter-coastal waterway.

Aiden loved watching all the boats passing by. He kept pointing them out telling us "it's a boat!"

We caught a bunch of blue crabs like this one! One evening, Bam and I went out to the pier to try some more luck at crabbing and fishing and not only caught plenty more crabs, but even 3 horseshoe crabs!! One was HUGE! Of course, we tossed the horseshoe crabs back.

Speaking of Easter... the Easter Bunny wasn't fooled by our change of scenery! He found Aiden just fine!

The first thing he grabbed off the table was the golf set, and Grand Dad is the perfect person to get some lessons from!

We had a lovely bike ride out near the Methodist Church and water, where a shady park set the scene for Aiden's Easter Egg hunt. Don't let this picture fool you, he was actually kinda grumpy [over-tired] by this point in the trip so the egg hunt didn't go quite as happily planned, but what can you do?

Near the end of our vacation, we wandered over to Jekyll Island. We stopped at the salt water lake, but ended up fishing elsewhere. Grand Dad was showing Aiden a turtle they had in a pen outside a small conservation center.

When we told Aiden this was a blow fish, he started blowing on it. Kids are so literal, haha.

Aiden found and held a little crab, and when he was done holding it, he gave it a little toss near the ground and said "off!"

This is called Driftwood Beach, because, um, it's covered in large pieces of driftwood, as Grand Dad and Aiden can show you. I think they were taking a quick break.
